Pay (Hourly)

  • Wage Rate:              $22.40 - $35.04
  • Health Insurance:                    $9.83
  • Pension:                                   $6.50
  • Total Hourly Wage:    $38.73 - $51.37


Job Summary

FLSA Classification:             Non-Exempt

Provides preventive and corrective mechanical service on trucks, heavy equipment and production equipment.  Mechanical services and support may be performed in Brainerd, MN area or at various project sites.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and assists with equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on multiple types of equipment and trucks.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance calls.
  • Represents the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
  • Assists in keeping the shop clean and organized.
  • Must be self-sufficient and resourceful when in a field application.


Requirements

  • Prior experience in diesel engine, power-train electrical, pneumatic brakes, air conditioning, hydraulics, on trucks, heavy equipment and production equipment in both shop and field setting.
  • Flexible work hours, some nights and weekends required. 
  • Must maintain the driving standards as outlined in the vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must provide current MVR.
  • Must obtain current health card. 


Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED with mechanic training and/or experience.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience or the ability to become proficient in CAT SIS-Electronic Technician, Cummins Insite, and Mercedes/Detroit Prolink.  


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up 60 pounds and lift above shoulder level to do routine maintenance.
  • Must be able to stand, bend and stoop while performing maintenance duties.
  • Must be able to work long days
  • Must understand safety procedures while performing maintenance and service on vehicles and equipment.
  • Must be able to move about adequately to fuel and add fluids as necessary.
  • Must be able to work in high heat and at times dusty environments.
