Pay (Hourly)

  • Wage Rate:            $25.67 - $35.10
  • Health Insurance:                 $9.83
  • Pension:                               $6.50
  • Total Hourly Wage: $42.00 - $51.43


Job Summary

FLSA Classification:             Non-Exempt

As an Operator you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment for groundwork and construction purposes. Requirements include knowledgeable use and skills of the following equipment: loader, skid loader, roller and various other types of equipment. Class A CDL holders strongly encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities

  • Operate various pieces of equipment and understand safety procedures for mobile earthmoving equipment.
  • Pull trailers, equipment, and implements within state and federal guidelines.
  • Operate equipment and implements will be operated in a safe and timely manner.
  • Conduct and maintain situational awareness for the safety of oneself and their crew.
  • Operate basic hand tools and smaller equipment.
  • Understand and perform basic maintenance on the equipment operated.
  • Safely and efficiently perform basic startup and shut down procedures.
  • Perform daily maintenance to machine(s) after operation using basic hand tools and add fuel and fluids as necessary.

Requirements

  • Must have a basic set of hand tools to do minor repairs.
  • Must be able to safely and efficiently get on and off equipment.
  • Must have 8” leather work boots and wear full length pants.
  • Must be able to work weekdays and Saturday.
  • Must be willing and able to wear appropriate PPE.


Minimum Job Requirements

  • Must maintain the driving standards as outlined in the vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must provide current MVR.
  • Must be able to obtain current health card.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school diploma preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to safely and efficiently get on and off equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend over and do shoveling and hand work.
  • Must be willing and able to wear appropriate PPE.
  • Must be able to lift above shoulder level in order to do routine maintenance.
  • Must be able to work in high heat and at times dusty environments.
